Irritating Smell

hah! i just opened myself up to it. i’m sure everyone will be answering with meaningless plugs now. lol!

I annoys me, but I see so much of it happening, I’m use to it now. In the Laptops or Electronics categories where I’m a TC in, it happens very often. It was kind of funny when another person asked the same question as you and some random person answered with a useless link for a free ipod.

Do you get irritated with people who answer your question just for the points?
When I ask or answer a question, I put time and effort into it. This web site is wonderful for people who are seriously looking for answers. However, I get irritated with replies that are wasting my time and don’t help solve the question. Who else feels the same?

It is one of my pet peeves and drives me up a wall. Sometimes I report them but the habit is so pervasive that for every answer I may report that is given just for points, 20 more pop up to take its place so it seems to me that reporting is a lost cause. Nothing is really going to change around here. I really wish that Yahoo would end the point system for simply answering questions. Also I don’t believe points should be lost for asking questions either. The only points I am in favor of are those given for best answer.

Those super annoying idiots who just don’t leave you alone. For example, you are soldering a resistor into a PCB and this annoying guy comes and taps you on the shoulder and makes you burn your fingers!!!!
*ahem* Anyway, ignoring them doesn’t work, any ideas?

You’ve got to tell these people exactly how you feel, but in a nice way. Often, people who are annoying don’t even realize it! And they don’t understand the consequences of their behavior.

Simply say, "You are a great friend, but when you see I’m concentrating on something, please come back at another time." or "You are a lot of fun to hang out with, but sometimes, you approach me at the wrong times, like when I’m soldering a resistor into a PCB." You get the idea.

Honesly, a lot of people are so wrapped up in themselves that they don’t realize what they are doing, so you have to tell them!

Yes i faced the same things in my life, but what to do with them, life has to go on, don’t you feel alone, you are not alone, yahoo community is there for you to every solution, and you have a family that adores you, so why are feeling alone! Yes. All the people who ‘pretend they’re a tree’, mime or ‘act’ make me want to do something very unpleasant to them with some very antisocial medical instruments. Is it any wonder why films and TV are so **** these days? Probably born with a silver spoon in somewhere other than their mouths.

I’d have to say….people (including myself) are probably most irritated when I want to be right ALL THE TIME! I hate to admit it when I’m wrong but I do it….I mean come on, it only happens every other decade. lol I’m kidding. And I’m sorry, I’m wrong…I’m not sorry. Cause if I were sorry, I would’ve erased it. lol I’m a jerk…did I mention this previously??

I guess people take offense to it, but I’m just stating my opinion.
And I’m not afraid to say how I see it.

Every year, I ask my dear Mother what she wants for Christmas. She deserves a lot, I hasten to add. My brother and I are willing to spend a lot on her.
So every year, she just says: No no, dont buy me anything, I don’t need or want anything.
Literal mission impossible.
Is this the same case for everyone, and furthermore, what are you getting your mum this year?

My mom is hard to shop for, and it’s annoying when she says she doesn’t want anything. For goodness sakes she deserves something. It’s not a small gift, or a terribly expensive gift, it’s a gift that I feel she should have.

Over that past few months we’ve been taking a lot of pictures of my daughters because she loves pictures. We’ve thought of getting her one of those digital picture frames that store a lot of pictures, so she doesn’t have to clutter up her office space at work. She can just turn the frame on, and she can look at the different pictures. She’s ALWAYS complaining about how she needs more space to hang up her memos and stuff, but she just has too many pictures that get in the way. So my husband and I decided to change that. Instead of giving her individual pictures, she should have the digital frame. It’s not a terribly expensive gift, but we think it’s practical. Also she loves stuff from Bath and Body Works, so we got her a $50 gift card from that store. I just hope she doesn’t get mad because then we’d feel even more guilty even if we didn’t get anything at all.

Um, well, sometimes I can sense they would be really interesting if they would talk more, but I’m like, how long is it going to take for you to feel comfortable with me –a year?
