Pro active irritating my skin suddenly?

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I started using pro active on Saturday and it has really cleared up my face so far but last night, this morning, and tonight when I used it…it burned my face and gave a some irritation around my mouth and on my chin and around my eyes that caused my skin to turn red and burn. Why could this suddenly be happening? It hurts a lot and I have to an ice pack on my face when I use it. It’s my only face wash…..why is this happening? Any information would be great! Thanks!!!

Proactive makes so dry It sounds that you have a allergic reaction use Aloe
vera gel to sooth your skin.

Are there nipple rings that contain very little nickel and other skin irritating metals?

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

I am allergic to a lot of the common metals used in jewelry but I would like to have my nipples pierced.

No nipple piercing jewelry should contain heavy amounts of nickel, as you should only use surgical stainless steel or titanium as jewelry. No reputable piercer would ever give you initial jewelry that wasn’t that, so don’t worry about it.

Good luck, and if you want to know any more about nipple piercings, just e-mail me anytime!

if the metal navel jewelry is irritating my skin…..?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

So I have red bumps around my two week old navel piercing and now I have to change it out. (IDK if it is irritated from the shape edged, pink painted metal rose on it the jewelry that’s rubbing against my skin, OR if its from the metal of the jewelry.)

So is plastic jewelry better to replace the metal jewelry with?

Will I be able to change it since the pericing is so new?

What should i do?

go back to the place you got it pierced at and have them change it out for you. Or have a doctor do it. It sounds like the piercing is infected, so when you replace it, make sure you use a surgical-grade stainless steel piece.

A spa facial gone wrong. What can I do about my irritated skin?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

The other day I had a facial and it seemed like everything was fine. About a day later my chin was red with little raised bumps and pimples starting to pop up all over just in the chin area. Its not just little pimples that skin looks a little swollen and red. Is there anything I can do make it calm down without irritating my skin further?

Steam is probably the only thing you can do along with a mild toner. Pop the pimples to get them open for the toner.

Why is Eucerin irritating my skin…please please help?

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

I got the Eucerin moisturizer because i have really sensitive skin that gets irritated really easily. i have tried loads of different products over the years, i am 14 and they haven’t been that good. The Eurcerin moisturizer does hydrate my skin but i go really red and blotchy??? What should i do??
Thankyou

Are you putting too much on? I use the thick Eucerin in the tub and that stuff takes FOREVER to soak in. Which the thick stuff your best bet would be to apply it, wait five minutes and then blot off the excess with a towel or something.

So please can anyone help pleassssse its kinda serious as well :(
Looking at you "before" really doesn’t help any - I’m assuming you used the Clearasil because you had some acne - and the ice cream doesn’t matter, either - unless you’re alergic to something in it.
When you use a new skin product - it takes 14 days for the "under the surface" stuff to come to the surface and get healed. The old skin flakes away and the new skin is healthy and blemish free. It doesn’t happen overnight. However, if you are sensitive to something in the product - you could have an unwanted reaction. I’d say - stop using the Clearasil - keep your face clean - and your hands from "picking" at it - and you should look fine to go back to school.
But you really need to get a (3-product) -skin care regime - cleanser, astringent, moisturizer - all of one Brand -and use to keep your skin at it’s best. (remember the 14 day breakout thing) -

Which products help dry, irritated skin under the lower lip?

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

A few weeks ago a tiny bit of skin under my bottom lip was red and irritated. Now its become very red, dry, flaky and irritated as well as much more noticeable!!! It keeps bothering me and I try not to touch it. When I apply face cream, it hurts really badly. What do I do? My boyfriend said its because I put chap stick on every five minutes. Its sort of a habit of mine. Could this really be the cause? Is there any medication I could buy over the counter at a Walgreens?

Can irritating skin on face make acne worse?

Friday, October 30th, 2009

i use a lot of products on my face and sometimes it starts to burn after and my face is sometimes red. My skin also become very dry. Can it give me more acne if I irritate skin??????

Yes. If your skin is dry and burning, you need to stop using what you’re using. Overdrying your skin is not good and eventually it will start flaking and peeling.

How to remove irritated skin from glue and tissue paper?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I’m going to put glue on my face, make a zombie. I’m doing this before Halloween to see how it turns out.

I heard that once I make it, take it off, it might leave my skin irritated and red for a little while.
i have school tomorrow, I’m doing this today.
Any ideas of how to remove red/irritated skin.

Why don’t you just use double sided sticky tape. It seems a lot safer, you may have an allergy to the glue.
