I am a cleaner in a school but the products are irritating my skin?

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

When I clean the tables the thing I spray with irritates my face, and it makes it very very dry, I have to moisturize twice in 10 minutes, and then again. And I have a rash, but it’s not too visible.
So when I cleann should I just spray the cleaner into the cloth, will this make a difference do you think?

It could help but i think you should just tell your boss about it and show him the rash so you ether will have to wear a mask or you will get different cleaners

How to exfoliate skin without irritating it?

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

I have A LOT of dead skin right now on my face, but i can’t exactly exfoliate it because I have prettyy bad acne and my skin gets red and irrated really easily. How can i get rid of the dead skin, i have a dance competition tomorow and i’m going to have to put foundation on, and it is going to look gross with my flakey skin. please help. thanks.

I suggest you purchase a surface peel cream. It takes away all the dead skin on your face once you take it off. It’s like a mask. And your skin should be dead skinless after you take off the mask . It doesn’t irritate your skin at all. I had the same problem as you but now it’s gone :)

How to remove redness caused by a skin-irritating acne medicine?

Friday, June 10th, 2011

Right now my chin is red, dry, and a little sore. Is there a quick way to fix this?

try a little super sensitive lotion.
i had the same problem and i just put lotion on it and it went away.
the super sensitive stuff or hypo-allergenic will make sure not to irritate the skin and still get the job done :)
good luck!

How to get rid of these little needles irritating my skin?

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

I just recently volunteered for community service and we did this thing called Adopt-A-Highway. Basically we clean about two miles of our "adopted highway". It took us about 2 hours and we did pretty good ,but as I was loading up onto the truck my arm grazed this stick that had these little tiny needles on it and it stings whenever I try to touch the area where my skin was grazed. If anyone knows how to get these tiny little "needles" out any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx :)
I don’t know if this will work but you could try using duck tape. Or maybe hair removal wax?

Are my makeup brushes irritating my skin?

Monday, May 30th, 2011

Ive noticed my skin looks a little bit irritated perhaps (small tiny red bumps on my skin). I have quite sensitive skin. Is it possible that the makeup brushes i am using are irritating the skin? Or is it that i need to clean them more often?

You might just need to clean them more often. Either that or they might be poor quality. If you haven’t already, invest in some good quality brushes. Sometimes, drugstore brushes just don’t cut it. Brushes are key in making your makeup look the way you want it too. Makeup brushes are the one thing I am willing to spend extra on when it comes to cosmetics because I think they are the most important.
Hope I helped! :)

P.S - Coastal Scents has good brushes for VERY cheap!

Can i still use irritating products on sensitive skin?

Friday, May 27th, 2011

I have sensitive skin, and I’ve been using this anti acne and mark toner, which really works and make my skin great, but it irritates my skin… Is it bad to keep using it? Will it ruin my skin or just make me feel inconfortable for a few minutes? I wanna keep using it, but not if it will make my skin worse.

here’s my story: i also have sensitive skin. i used to use proactiv which worked wonderfully but it stung the crap out of my face. i started noticing that my skin was getting thinner & i ended up getting more acne and having very acne-prone skin. soo, i immediately stopped using it and went to the dermatologist. now, i’m having no problems with my skin (:
in conclusion: i suggest you use a gentle formulated scrub, or better yet- get a check up with a skin doc.

How to safely remove Fake bake air brush tanning solution from skin without irritating skin too badly?

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

I use Fake bake Air brush tanning solution. It wears off in certain spots and looks very strange. So I wanted to remove it all from the skin and start with a fresh clean pallet and be sprayed again. I know there is always someone out there who says don’t do it or wait until it comes off on its own but I need to get it off asap. Any hints or advice from others who use this product or a similar one I would appreciate it. Thank you

Try exfoliating, use a salt or sugar scrub that’s gentle to your skin. You can purchase commercially prepared ones.

What do you do for itchy irritating skin?

Friday, May 20th, 2011

My skin is bumpy and dry i dont know whats going on.

Maybe the cleanser you are using is too harsh… try to stopping any cleansers, toners, etc. for a week and wash only with warm water [or, if it feels better, cold water]. Under no circumstances use bar soap!!!!

Can chlorine be irritating my skin when I swim?

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Ever since I was little, every time I swam, my skin would become red. It didn’t itch until I got out of the pool. But now I’m a freshman in high school and we’re going into the swim unit in PE. I’ll be really embarrassed for people to see my skin red and itchy after we get out. Do I need to go see a doctor to get a note to excuse me? Will they let me sit out? Will I still have to do it? Thanks!

Chlorine can be very irritating. If there is too much chlorine in the pool, or even if any of the other chemicals are out of range, it can irritate your skin. You may also be allergic to it. The alternative for using chlorine in a pool is to use bromine. Obviously that wouldn’t help you if you are swimming for school. I would maybe go to the doctor and tell them what is happening. You may be able to get a note so you don’t have to do it. If the doc won’t give you one, tell your gym teacher. He/she may be understanding enough to let you do something else for a grade.
