Irritating Smell

I first get a serious case of the irritated nose and then I get a soar throat, followed by runny nose and then within a day I get green discharge and in another day it is chunky and green when I clear my throat and blow my nose. What is going on? I’ve never had sinus’s before in my 40 year life span.
